Terms of Service

The Service

VODPad is a note-taking and coaching tool for reviewing recorded or live game sessions. The app is free to use without an account, and your notes are saved on your own computer. An account lets you sign in across the app and the web. Cloud backup, live sessions, teams, and other advanced features require a paid subscription, as described on our site.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record, who handles payment processing, invoicing, and tax collection on our behalf. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or third party's rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, crack, or bypass licensing/entitlement checks.
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users' sessions.
• Upload content you don't have the right to share.
• Use the Service to send content to a third-party platform (for example Discord) in breach of that platform's own rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, images, and session content you create. You grant us the limited right to store and transmit that content solely to provide the Service (e.g. syncing across your devices or relaying it during a live session). Image attachments are not uploaded by cloud backup at all — they stay on your computer unless you send them yourself during a live session. You are responsible for the content you create and for anything you choose to send to another person through the Service.

Sending to Discord

VODPad can create a private Discord channel for a student and send your session notes and screenshots to it. Those messages are sent from your computer directly to Discord - they do not pass through our servers. You are responsible for what you send, and for making sure it complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We may suspend Discord delivery for an account that abuses it. Note that anyone with administrator rights on your Discord server can see every channel in it, including the ones VODPad creates.

Game trademarks and footage

Game names, logos, and related trademarks referenced or displayed in the Service belong to their respective owners. VODPad is not endorsed by or affiliated with those publishers. See our in-app disclaimer for details, or contact takedowns@vodpad.gg with any trademark concerns.

Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
